OUR VISION STATEMENT

The Colton Community Church is a small, friendly church family striving to be a spiritual home for those in our surrounding communities and beyond. Our prayer is that we fulfill God’s will through our ministries by nurturing our congregation, by reaching out to our community and world, and by witnessing our faith so people we touch find love, peace, and a pathway to the Lord.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe in one God – the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that the Bible is fully inspired by God and that all truth necessary for salvation and a faithful relationship with God is contained in the Books of the Bible.

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of God the Father, and in His future return to the earth in power and glory.

We believe that Jesus Christ died for all humanity, and that whoever repents and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ is delivered

from sin and welcomed by God as His child.

We believe people are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us have an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” Sin separates us from God.

We believe that only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness, can anyone be saved.

We believe the Holy Spirit is present in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ.

We believe the power of the Holy Spirit empowers the Christian to live a holy life.

We believe that Jesus will return bodily to Earth a second time.

We believe Jesus established the church here on Earth to carry on the work that He began while He was here.
